That's WEIS! This position involves working with the pharmacy manager on controlling inventories, ordering pharmaceutical stock, weighing, measuring, mixing drugs, and filling prescriptions. The role also includes dispensing non-prescription medications, advising self-medicating patients, and maintaining communication with health and insurance professionals. A key responsibility is performing patient immunizations. In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, this role may involve scheduling pharmacy associates, rewarding and recognizing performance, disciplining associates, and assigning work to meet company profit objectives. Additionally, the position assists the manager with training and development of department personnel to improve performance, ensure continuous development, reduce turnover, and control labor costs. It also involves helping to control department expenses by monitoring operations, meeting labor goals, and reducing shrink. The role requires responding to customer complaints and questions efficiently and courteously, providing counseling on prescription-related issues, and identifying areas to improve customer service. Maintaining a safe, clean department, managing appropriate records and files, and submitting required reports are also essential. Cooperation with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth function of the department and store, and continuous improvement of job performance are expected. The role may also perform duties of staff as required.
