Richland Library is seeking to hire a Floater Associate at our Main and surrounding locations. This role involves working directly with customers, assisting them with various library services, and ensuring a positive library experience. The Floater Associate will handle tasks such as locating, checking out, and renewing materials, placing holds, and using the automated library system. They will also assist customers with basic informational and directional requests, both in person and over the phone. Additionally, the role requires assisting customers with library equipment like PAC terminals and copiers, answering questions about library services, materials, programs, and policies, and conducting searches for materials. The associate will also be responsible for processing returned items, handling fees and payments, and enforcing the library's Code of Conduct. A strong emphasis is placed on providing outstanding customer service and adhering to safety guidelines and organizational brand promises. The position may require working nights and weekends and involves an average of at least 10 hours per week.
