Float Teacher
About The Position
We are seeking a Float Teacher to join our growing Elkhorn team. This role is for someone who loves making a difference and wants to inspire, encourage, and celebrate a child's love of learning every day. As a New Horizon Academy educator, you will work in beautifully equipped classrooms alongside a caring and dedicated team, with support from knowledgeable staff, and help shape the leaders of tomorrow. New Horizon Academy has been a leader in early care and education for over fifty years, fostering a culture of continuous improvement based on what's best for children and staff. We are passionate advocates for early childhood resources, recognizing the critical importance of a child's first five years for social and emotional brain development.
Requirements
- Meet Nebraska state licensing requirements for teacher qualification.
- Experience working in ECE and in classroom management.
- Able to work a full-time schedule, Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:30 am - 6:00 pm.
- Positive work ethic and a team-centered attitude.
- Willing to learn and grow as an educator.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Meet or exceed state qualifications for the listed position.
- Has documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.

- Interest in beginning or continuing their education in early childhood education or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Float between classrooms as needed.
- Assist with classroom management.
