About The Position
This role is for a Float Sonographer who is passionate about patient care, problem-solving, open to learning new skills, not afraid of a high-paced environment, and is a team player. The position provides support to multiple locations in New York: Jericho, West Islip, and Port Jefferson.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Medical Sonography.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Sonography.
- EMR systems.
- Certification: Certified Medical Sonographer.
Nice To Haves
- Lower extremity/ vascular preferred.
- RVT or RVS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans, rule out DVT scans, and post procedure scans.
- Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams in accordance with patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Medical intakes.
- Enter medical notes in our EMR system.
- Use sterile technique for procedure set up and prep patients for procedures.
- Assist during procedures.
- Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
- Properly care for Ultrasound equipment and notifies the office if there are any issues.
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers and members of the health care team.
