This role involves floating between assigned schools and/or patients based on company needs, providing one-on-one nursing care for individual students, and supporting school-sponsored activities. The position also includes assisting with onboarding and training of new RNs, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding all safety, compliance, and professional standards.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a clinical setting
At least 1 year of pediatric RN experience, preferably in a home care or private duty setting
Demonstrated competency with: Feeding tubes, Seizure management, Diabetes care, Cardiac conditions
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and professionalism
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments

Responsibilities

Float between assigned schools and/or patients based on company needs
Must be willing to drive anywhere on Long Island- for example: New Hyde Park to Miller Place
Provide one-on-one nursing care for individual students as required
Support school-sponsored activities, including: Field trips, Organized school event days
Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans, physician orders, and school policies
Assist with onboarding, training, and shadowing of RNs requesting first-visit support
Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with families, schools, and internal teams
Uphold all safety, compliance, and professional standards
Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs
