About The Position

The Float Residential Service Technician (RST) and Float Residential Crisis Worker (RCW) is a technical position that provides direct services in support of the lives of people living in the program. These positions contribute to the accomplishment of the Agency mission through the provision of direct service contributing to the co-occurring treatment of the program. All positions within this classification administer the medication administration within the program. This position performs the essential functions of an RST and RCW at a program location determined by the supervisor based on program needs. Generally, these positions will obtain their work location on a bi-weekly basis (supervisor reserves option to change location based on program need). Work is performed, reviewed, and evaluated under the supervision of the Senior Program Director in conjunction with on-site Program Directors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year in Mental Health Residential experience.
  • Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within 1 year of employment and maintain continuous MHRT1 status.
  • A flexible schedule is required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.
  • Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
  • If MHRT is required for position you must pass CNA registry check.
  • If residential or ECE employee must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen.
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, driving, typing and frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • A good driving record is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training in mental health preferred.
  • 2 plus years of experience in Mental Health Residential preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct services in support of the lives of people living in the program.
  • Contributes to the co-occurring treatment of the program.
  • Administers medication.
  • Performs essential functions of an RST and RCW at a program location determined by the supervisor based on program needs.
  • May drive to attend meetings and trainings, meet with clients offsite, or drive to the agency location.
  • May include transportation of clients.
