About The Position
Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking a Float Registered Dental Assistant to join their team. As one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in the Nation, Clinica Sierra Vista serves diverse patient populations, including those in rural areas, inner cities, and individuals from various cultural backgrounds. The organization prioritizes patient care and is looking for individuals who believe the patient is always #1. This role involves assisting dentists in various procedures, operating radiography equipment, applying topical agents, removing dressings, and potentially filling in as a Dental Receptionist. The position requires adherence to infection control, HIPPA, radiology policies, and sterilization protocols.
Requirements
- Two years’ experience is preferred.
- Must possess both California license for Registered Dental Assistant and sealant certificate.
- Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Willingness to participate in expanded duty program as such program becomes operational.
- Desire to work closely with patients and staff.
- Graduation from high school.
- Possession of State Radiological Certification.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in four-handed dentistry.
- Assist the dentist in all aspects of chairside assisting.
- Drape and seat the patient in the dental chair.
- Place proper tray setup and prepare the developing room.
- Confirm all treatment is recorded in the chart and necessary patient visit information is indicated on route slips.
- Operate Dental radiography equipment.
- Apply topical agents.
- Remove dressings.
- Be an active and enthusiastic team member.
- Fill in as Dental Receptionist to answer telephone calls, route and assist incoming patients, and perform other designated tasks.
- Follow Infection Control policies.
- Follow HIPPA Policies.
- Follow Radiology Policies.
- Follow sterilization protocols and consistently demonstrate adherence to the sterilization process.
- Perform other work-related duties as required.
