About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join their team in Little Rock, AR. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, data entry, and providing customer service. The Float Phlebotomist will travel to additional sites as needed and will be responsible for preparing specimens for testing and analysis. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Will cover sites in Little Rock, AR and surrounding areas (50+ miles)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving record
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
  • 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
  • Current or prior LabCorp experience
  • In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
