About The Position

Genoa Healthcare is seeking a Float Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy. This role involves dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Genoa Healthcare is part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, focusing on serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities by partnering with coordinated care teams to ensure patients with complex health conditions receive the right medications and adhere to treatment plans. Requirements

Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Missouri
Ability to cover all sites in the Kansas City metro area
Ability to work an average of 24 hours (or 2-3 shifts) weekly, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm
Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license

6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
Other duties as assigned
Ability to cover homesite and other sites in the Kansas City metro area
