About The Position

Rosauers Supermarkets is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy operations under the guidance of pharmacists and provide service to customers. The intern assists with prescription processing and medication dispensing, inventory management, administrative work, and maintaining a clean, secure, and compliant pharmacy environment. The position pays $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must complete a pre-employment background check.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, address inquiries, and provide information to customers.
• Assist pharmacists in verifying the accuracy and completeness of medication orders.
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure information is complete and accurate.
• Resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims.
• Select appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
• Sort, stock, and label medication and monitor inventory.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.
• Undertake assigned administrative tasks, such as record-keeping.
• Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
• Comply with security measures and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Adhere to laws and regulations pertaining to the sale and distribution of medications.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
