Float Per Diem Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
Genoa Healthcare seeks a Float Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support the functions of its mental health and specialty pharmacy. The technician primarily dispenses medical prescriptions and performs clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Genoa works with community-based providers and coordinated care teams to help people with complex health conditions obtain medications and follow treatment plans. The home site is 6039 Eldora Ave, Suite E, Las Vegas, NV 89146. The technician will also travel to three other Las Vegas sites to cover employee time off and call-outs. Work is scheduled for an eight-hour shift between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, with the shift varying according to the site being covered.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Nevada.
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Ability to use a personal car to travel to other sites when needed for coverage.
Nice To Haves
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Pharmacy and prescription data-entry experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
- Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Order, receive, and store pharmacy supplies.
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
- Verify medication stock and enter data into the computer to maintain inventory records.
- Work with the pharmacist on pharmacy functions and maintaining compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Perform clerical duties related to the department.
- Communicate with professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
