About The Position

SynergenX-Low T Center-HerKare, leading providers of hormone replacement and targeted wellness services, are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join their team. This role offers an opportunity to jump start a career in the medical field, working in conjunction with leaders in hormone replacement therapy and weight management. The company offers two weeks of paid training and great benefits, with no certification or license required to start. The Float MA position is for motivated and reliable individuals at South Houston locations, requiring flexibility and willingness to travel between locations as needed. A Medical Assistant is responsible for providing patient treatment, fostering positive patient relationships, and managing day-to-day lab operations with knowledge and precision. The ideal candidate must be flexible with late hours, some weekends, possess a friendly attitude, enjoy interacting with providers and patients, and have some computer skills. The goal is to provide excellent care with exceptional patient encounters.

Requirements

  • Must be flexible and willing to travel between the Pflugerville and South Austin Low T Center locations as needed.
  • Physical proof of High School diploma or GED Required
  • Must have a minimum of 3 months relevant work experience in a medical setting or documented completion of 180 extern hours.
  • Pass a Background check
  • Available M 8-5, T 8-7, W 8-1, Th 7-5, F 8-5 and up to 3 Saturdays a month 8a-12p (When you work a Saturday, you will have a weekday off)
  • Float to Katy, Sugarland, Galleria, Webster, Pasadena and Friendswood

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification preferred
  • Ability to perform venipuncture and intramuscular/subcutaneous injections, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual vitals, routine blood draws, administering intramuscular and subcutaneous injections per the provider's request.
  • Maintain lab equipment, documentation of all lab results and quality controls.
  • Runs labs in-house or having them ready to be run at another facility with proper labs ordered for each patient.
  • Weekly inventory, ordering, and communication among others.
  • Helps assist the front desk duties when needed.
  • Strong work ethic.
