About The Position

Float Mammography Technologist looking to elevate their career. This position offers a Sign-On Bonus of up to $10,000 and Relocation Assistance for qualified technologists. The role involves providing services and support in various locations, understanding and promoting the Solis Way, educating patients about preventative breast health, and performing diagnostic or screening mammograms. The technologist will also prepare for and assist the Radiologist in intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies, while adhering to safe procedures and radiation safety measures.

Requirements

Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology
One-year full-time experience as a Mammography Technologist with documentation of clinical experience and 3D required
Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
Current CPR/BLS Certification
MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years
Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of database software, eRad, Sectra RIS/PACS software is preferred
Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred

Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health
Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions
Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills
Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique
Performs other work-related duties as assigned
Practice safe procedures and adheres to radiation safety measures under the supervision of the Radiology supervisor or the Radiologist
Complete patient education regarding the exam
Perform diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered
Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies
