We are currently hiring a compassionate Float Caregiver to serve clients in Sheboygan and surrounding communities. As a Float Caregiver, you will work scheduled and on-call shifts throughout Sheboygan County and across various client needs. This role is crucial for fulfilling client care needs by being flexible, responsive, and reliable.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ previous work experience in residential, assisted living facility or in-home care.
  • Ability to accept last minute assignments.
  • Possess a working cell phone and keep it on and nearby during float hours.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to lift 25pounds and bend, twist, reach and assist individuals supported with their movements, including their ability to stand up.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

  • The Float caregiver will be responsible for covering multiple programs in an assigned region to ensure appropriate coverage and the highest quality care for individuals supported; their role will incorporate routine travel across the assigned region or to a designated set of homes as assigned by leadership.
  • Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned
  • Follow client care plan
  • Provide companionship and emotional support by engaging in conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities
  • Run errands and provide client transportation for required appointments
  • Provide non medical personal care and assist clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and medication reminders
  • Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Report on what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
