The Cardiac Sonographer performs and monitors echocardiogram procedures. Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by providers. Communicates with others, such as physicians, Cardiologists, and colleagues, as appropriate, regarding changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram. Responsible for equipment maintenance, reporting equipment malfunctions and quality assessment. The Cardiac Sonographer operates assumes ownership and leads advanced and highly specialized administrative/operational/patient support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. The Cardiac Sonographer performs diagnostic imaging procedures independently, ensuring accurate results and high-quality patient care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining professional standards and ethical practices.
