This is a crisis group home which is a short-term, highly supportive residential setting designed for children, teens, or adults who are experiencing an emotional, behavioral, or other crisis. The goal is stabilization — not long-term placement — so the person can return home or move to a more appropriate setting once the individual has stabilized and a plan is in place. The individuals we support in this setting are often highly behavioral, may be violent at times, display verbal aggression, and may elope. It is imperative that employees following our training, policies, and care plans to support individuals with these unique needs. Direct Support Professionals provide support and supervision to individuals who have developmental, mental health, or physical disabilities. Direct Support Professionals get to know new people and create relationships. They also get to participate in new experiences and have fun while at work! Direct Support Professionals go home every single day knowing they made a difference.
