About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Flightline Readiness Tech Inspector Manager (Level K) to support the Field Quality team onsite in Renton, Washington. This position requires a critical thinker with strong business acumen, who is passionate about coaching, and eager to drive cultural change within the organization. A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety. This role will lead a team of 10+ people.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a production/factory environment
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Willing and able to work any shift (as needed to support mission requirements, including weekends and holidays, and to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime as required)
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing multi-functional teams within a Quality Management environment
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License or an FAA Repairman's Certificate
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of employees responsible for evaluating and ensuring that products, services, and processes meet customer contract requirements, engineering standards, company procedures, and government regulations
  • Develop and implement effective business plans, policies, and procedures aimed at enhancing performance and quality outcomes
  • Create and execute organizational and technical strategies that promote continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Provide education and coaching on the Quality System, empowering team members to understand and uphold quality standards
  • Make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and safety
  • Acquire and manage resources efficiently, leading initiatives that drive process improvements and optimize performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports to foster collaboration and success
  • Inspire, develop, and motivate employees, cultivating a high-performance culture that embraces change and encourages professional growth
