About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking Flightline Operations Managers (Level K) to support the 737 Field Operations team in Renton, WA. This position is available for Shift 1 or 2, with the specific shift determined at the time of offer. The role requires the candidate to utilize their business, leadership, and people skills to foster a safe work environment and drive exceptional performance through the development and execution of business plans, policies, and procedures. Successful candidates must be adept at developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, cross-functional support teams, and direct reports.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an Aerospace, Fabrication or Manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment
  • Possess an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License OR the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain an FAA Repairman's certificate
  • Ability to work variable shifts including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Must complete the Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment as part of the selection process.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of flightline operations experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with live customers
  • 3+ years of experience with any of the following: quality assurance, troubleshooting capabilities, functional test knowledge, release, ticket experience, manufacturing, and/or structures
  • 3+ years of proficiency using CMES

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.
  • Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees.
