About The Position

The Boeing Company, Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Flightline Operations Manager to join the 777/x Preflight and Delivery Operations Team on 2nd shift in Everett, Washington. This role requires strong interpersonal and coaching skills to foster a positive culture and embody company values. The successful candidate will champion a first-pass quality mindset, prioritize the success and development of team members, and ensure adherence to standards for Foreign Object Debris (FOD)-free products and a "clean as you go" approach, demonstrating care for people and focus on customers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or equivalent military experience
  • Must have a FAA certification/license
  • Willingness to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of flight line operations experience & functional test knowledge
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal or informal role
  • 3+ years of experience with any of the following: avionics, troubleshooting capabilities, functional test knowledge, release, ticket experience, manufacturing, and/or structures
  • 3+ years of proficiency using CMES (or similar industry software)
  • 5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees using best practices and regular employee feedback.
  • Ensure air vehicles are completed and certified for airworthiness by overseeing final paint installation, modification, repair, and delivery preparation.
  • Interface with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and secure customer acceptance.
  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and achieve operational goals for quality, on-time delivery, and cost control.
  • Secure resources for projects and processes, provide technical oversight of suppliers, and lead continuous process improvements.
  • Oversee and approve technical approaches, process changes, and adoption of lean principles.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and teamwork; influence the team to demonstrate Boeing Values and Behaviors.
