About The Position

This position requires a US Citizen and is located at a facility that requires special access. The role involves working independently or leading a team to execute project, schedule, and technical requirements to meet the goals of the test program. The engineer will be responsible for the specification, selection, design, integration, operation, and maintenance of airborne data acquisition systems and their related components, including telemetry, flight test specific hardware, or prototypes for flight test evaluation. Responsibilities also include mechanical build, installation, and aircraft structure modification designs, as well as electrical designs and schematics covering power supplies, signal conditioning, amplification, heating, and cooling provisions. The role requires overseeing the installation, checkout, and calibration of data systems to ensure proper data display, processing, and analysis. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

  • BS in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer Science degrees or equivalent experience.
  • Technical background in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with 3-D Computer Aided design (CAD) tools/drafting software.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute project, schedule, and technical requirements to meet the goals of the test program.
  • Specify, select, design, integrate, operate, and maintain airborne data acquisition systems and their related components.
  • Manage telemetry, flight test specific hardware, or prototypes for flight test evaluation.
  • Perform mechanical build, installation, and aircraft structure modification designs.
  • Create electrical designs and schematics, including power supplies, signal conditioning, amplification, heating, and cooling provisions.
  • Oversee installation, checkout, and calibration of data systems.
  • Support occasional travel.
