About The Position

This position requires an individual to work independently or lead a team to execute project, schedule, and technical requirements to meet the goals of the test program. The role is responsible for the specification, selection, design, integration, operation, and maintenance of airborne data acquisition systems and their related components, including telemetry, flight test specific hardware, or prototypes for flight test evaluation. The engineer will oversee the installation, checkout, and calibration of data systems to ensure collected data can be properly displayed, processed, and analyzed. Responsibilities also include maintaining configuration control and mission capability of the instrumentation system and all associated ground support equipment, as well as supporting pre-flight, post-flight, and control room activities for all scheduled missions. The role involves interfacing with test operations, maintenance, and management to ensure all instrumentation requirements are coordinated and accounted for. Occasional travel may be required. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and requires a government security clearance, meaning the candidate must be a US Citizen.

Requirements

  • BS in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer Science degrees or equivalent experience.
  • Technical background in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with 3DX
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings & process specifications
  • Production floor build experience
  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Previous experience with Curtis Wright, Safran, or similar instrumentation hardware
  • Signal conditioning, transducers, and data acquisition

Responsibilities
