The Flight Test Engineer will be responsible for developing test objectives, methods, detailed test procedures, test cards, and data collection requirements. This role involves coordinating test support activities across various resources including ranges, airspace, instrumentation, and aircraft. The engineer will conduct technical evaluations of program requirements, system descriptions, and modification proposals, assessing system operability, integration, and performance, and recommending improvements or redesigns as needed. Additionally, the position requires participation and support in test planning meetings, technical interchange meetings, briefings, and reviews, as well as preparing and delivering test materials, schedules, and status updates. The role also includes assisting in the planning, monitoring, and execution of ground and flight test activities, collecting, analyzing, and validating test data, and supporting the development of interim and final test reports. Close coordination with government and contractor personnel at Nellis AFB is essential to ensure efficient scheduling, deconfliction of resources, and successful execution of test missions.
