This role is part of Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE), supporting Blue Origin’s mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) and/or Avionics systems.
  • Ability to manage 6+ direct reports
  • Current Clearance TS/SCI or ability to hold TS/SCI

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Direct experience with reentry and/or hypersonic vehicle systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex aerospace projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of GNC and Avionics engineers.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of flight systems, from preliminary design to flight operations.
  • Manage flight system development schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure milestones are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including structures, propulsion, and software, to ensure system integration.
