CACI is seeking a Flight Software Verification and Validation (V&V) Test Engineer to support the Space Reactor – 1 Freedom Program at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC). This role involves reviewing flight software requirements, defining, implementing, and executing test cases for V&V of the Space Reactor – 1 Freedom Integrated flight software and associated data products. The position requires utilizing Space Reactor – 1 Freedom test labs and developing test scripts for automated verification testing. A strong background in systems engineering, including experience with system architecture and integration, is essential. Expertise in data manipulation using tools like Excel and Python, along with general scripting skills (JSON, Python, Bash, PowerShell), is beneficial for automation and tool development. The engineer will define verification test success criteria, analyze test results to verify flight software requirements, and play a key role in scripting the test automation scheme. This position demands a self-motivated engineer with strong technical depth, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative, customer-focused mindset. Ideal candidates will be flexible, team-oriented, and capable of clearly explaining complex technical concepts, sharing a passion for the nation's space program and the development of next-generation space vehicles. This work is performed onsite at NASA/JSC in Houston, Texas, within a dynamic environment central to human spaceflight and exploration.
