Flight Software Tools and Infrastructure Developer, New Glenn

BLUE ORIGINSeattle, WA
$134,961 - $188,945

About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will build the tools and infrastructure to support the New Glenn vehicle autonomy, guidance, and control team. You will lead the development of tools for flight software and simulation development and analysis in Matlab, Simulink, C and C++. You will be embedded in the flight software team alongside the engineers developing the control algorithms that launch and land the New Glenn vehicle. You will contribute to design standards and workflow definition, as well as new technology adoption. We are looking for someone to take ownership of many tools and help us chart the future of flight software development.
