At NAV CANADA, we’re experts in navigating Canada’s skies. Helping pilots safely cross 18 million square kilometers of Canadian and North Atlantic airspace is what we do. Our Flight Service Specialists (FS Specialist) play a critical role in supporting the safe, efficient and orderly movement of air traffic in 7 flight information regions (FIRs), working in NAV CANADA sites across the country. FS Specialists working in Airport Advisory Services (AAS) provide essential information including weather updates, runway advisories and coordination of vehicles movement on runways and taxiways. After completing training, they work at one of 53 Flight Service Stations (FSS) across the country. FS Specialists working at Flight Information Centres (FIC) provide pre-flight and in-flight services such as weather briefings, flight planning support, and updates on airspace restrictions or hazards. They also monitor flights en route, issue safety advisories, and coordinate alerting services for overdue or distressed aircraft. We’re making NAV CANADA a place where everyone truly belongs, where everyone thrives and where everyone is heard. If you’d love to shape the future of air navigation, we’re currently looking for motivated individuals to take on the responsibility of managing Canada’s airspace as Flight Service Specialists. You do not require any prior specialized training or experience. And what’s best... we pay you to learn! The training is paid for and provided by NAV CANADA, and you will also receive a salary during training.
