About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Flight Readiness Technician in North Charleston, SC. The selected candidate will perform rework, modification, and maintenance activities on aircraft in preparation for delivery, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections. Multiple positions available.

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Flight Readiness Technician, or in a related occupation.
  • Two years of experience operating aerospace vehicle systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and propulsion systems.
  • Two years of experience performing aircraft maintenance in accordance with standard processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Two years of experience coordinating tasks with operational departments, including Fabrication, Assembly, Tooling, Quality, Industrial Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Two years of experience documenting and managing technical processes to achieve efficient workflow and integration.
  • Two years of experience using quality systems and inspection processes in accordance with Boeing procedures.
  • Two years of experience applying regulatory requirements and procedures from authorities such as FAA, JAA, or UK CAA.
  • Two years of experience with cross-functional interactions between aircraft systems, personnel, and delivery processes.
  • Two years of experience with avionics and electrical systems.
  • Two years of experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations.
  • Two years of experience with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk identification and mitigation.
  • Two years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.
  • Two years of experience in Field/Flight Line Operations.
  • Two years of experience with Boeing Production System.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rework, modification, and maintenance activities on aircraft in preparation for delivery, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
  • Conduct flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems to identify and repair mechanical and/or electrical faults.
  • Resolve operational problems identified during testing and verify the accuracy of work performed, including self-inspection when applicable.
  • Support system and sub-system inspections and maintenance actions prior to aircraft delivery.
  • Participate in determining the scope of assignments and plan, schedule, and coordinate daily tasks with support from lead personnel.
  • Contribute to improving production efficiency, safety, and product quality at the Delivery Center.

Benefits

  • Summary pay $88,462- $109,000 per year.
