Flight Paramedic
About The Position
The Flight Paramedic position is based in Norfolk, Virginia, and is part time at 16 hours per week with a rotating schedule. Due to aircraft safety restrictions associated with helicopter flight, the maximum weight is 200 pounds. PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications must be acquired within six months of hire. Certification through the International Board of Specialty Certification as a Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) is required within two years of employment. Sentara offers a comprehensive benefits package. The posted base pay range for full-time employment is $31.72–$45.44 per hour; compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonuses.
Requirements
- Acquire PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications within six months of hire.
- Obtain Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) certification through the International Board of Specialty Certification within two years of employment.
