About The Position

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is seeking a Flight Operations/Aviation Technician to support program efforts at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC) at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG) in Utah. The WDTC is a Major Range Test Facility Base for chemical and biological defense, conducting various tests for the Department of Defense, other federal agencies, private industries, and foreign governments. This role will provide crucial support for air traffic control operations, tracking flight plans, meteorology, navigation, and flight line safety. The technician will also be involved in emergency services coordination for distressed aircraft.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Specialized training in air traffic control operations.
Knowledge of flight plans, meteorology, navigation, flight line safety, and other information pertinent to airfield support.
Experienced in emergency services coordination for lost aircraft or aircraft in distress.
A commitment to maintaining a productive and collaborative working environment.
Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
U.S. Citizenship required and you must have a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical, as well as periodic retests.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver’s Record, and a Criminal Background Investigation.

Responsibilities

Provide support for air traffic control operations.

Experienced in emergency services coordination for lost aircraft or aircraft in distress.
