About The Position

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Flight Nurse in Milledgeville, Georgia, to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities and respond to scene calls. The role is part of an air transportation team focused on safety and effective, efficient patient care. Starting pay is $28.66 per hour, plus a $5.00 hourly area stipend modification; additional pay is based on experience.

Requirements

Three years of experience in an emergency or adult critical care setting as a licensed RN.
Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
EMT certification and trauma certification in states where required.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required before flight status; NRP certification is provided during new-hire training.
Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) certification required within 24 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Prior flight experience.
Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, or ITLS/PHTLS.

Responsibilities

Assess situations and determine appropriate ways to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
Use critical-thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult and pediatric patients and support physicians’ orders.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft; conduct regular equipment and base checks; and comply with safety standards and briefings.
Communicate and collaborate professionally with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
Share shift-change information with the incoming team and follow protocols for accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
Maintain required certifications and complete ongoing training required for the position.
Be punctual, reliable, and professional, and meet the company’s standards for safety and service.
