About The Position

The Flight Logistics Specialist is a highly skilled professional responsible for the execution of cargo preparation, coordination, and aircraft loading operations in support of U.S. military and government airlift missions. This role demands knowledge of military logistics, compliance with regulations, and the ability to perform Joint Inspections (JI) without oversight. The position requires an experienced operator who can immediately step into mission-critical responsibilities and ensure flawless execution under dynamic and high-pressure conditions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in military airlift operations and flight line cargo handling.
• Proven ability to facilitate Joint Inspections (JI).
• Knowledge of multiple aircraft types and loading configurations.
• Proficiency in completing mission-critical documentation (DD Forms 2775, 1149, and 2133).
• Proven ability to maintain inventory records and manage preparation equipment.
• Familiar with hazardous cargo handling.
• Strong decision-making, and communication skills.
• Must maintain professional base relations and act as liaison with government and military POCs.
• Must be eligible for base access and able to escort deliveries on the flight line.
• Must be able to obtain a passport and be willing to travel OCONUS to support mission requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Minimum 4 years of direct experience in military/government flight line operations, airlift preparation, and cargo handling.
• Demonstrated experience with 463L pallet systems and restraint requirements.
• Prior experience facilitating Joint Inspections (JI) to military standards.
• Experience providing direction and oversight to Material Handlers or logistics staff.
• Experience working directly with government POCs and coordinating with base agencies.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.

• Military or vocational training in logistics or air transportation strongly preferred.
• Previous OCONUS deployment or global logistics support experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the loading/unloading of aircraft, applying expert knowledge of 463L pallets, restraint systems, and multiple aircraft configurations.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment with proficiency to ensure safe and timely movement of cargo.
• Perform and facilitate Joint Inspections (JI), ensuring all cargo meets airworthiness standards prior to mission departure.
• Complete and review critical mission documentation, including DD Form 2775, DD Form 1149, and DD Form 2133.
• Maintain and control inventory of cargo preparation materials (463L pallets, nets, straps, dunnage, covers).
• Work Material Handlers in all aspects of cargo preparation, documentation, and compliance to ensure accuracy and performance per regulations.
• Work directly with government Points of Contact (POCs) for planning and coordination of airlift missions, as well as receipt of sensitive government materials.
• Maintain professional relations with base agencies and military partners, serving as the company’s subject-matter expert during airlift operations.
• Escort and manage deliveries onto the flight line, ensuring compliance with base access protocols and operational security.
• Handle hazardous cargo in accordance with IATA, 49 CFR, AFMAN 24-604, and DoD requirements.
• Support irregular mission schedules, including nights, weekends, and OCONUS operations as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
