About The Position

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Flight Inspector – Level 2 or Level 3 to join their team in Magna, UT. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. The role involves performing visual, in-process, and final dimensional inspections on tightly tolerance piece parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies in the production area. The inspector will also perform Quality Process Assessments and required inspections in accordance with procedures and planning documentation using standard measurement instruments. The position requires the ability to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, and to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience (for Level 2) or 4 years additional education and/or related experience (for Level 3).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
Experience working with government contractors.
SMI (Standard Measuring Instruments) experience
Interpret drawings and specifications.
Working knowledge and understanding of GD&T.
Excellent shop math skills and advanced trigonometry.
Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
Experience with Continuous Improvement/PES techniques.
Must have good computer skills - MS Office suite.
Must be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, climb up ladders, reach into tight spaces, and lift up to 30 pounds.
