About The Position

The Flight Following Planner is responsible for ensuring the currency and suitability of airports, routings and flight planning data. This role involves reviewing documentation, coordinating airport suitability, creating and maintaining routes, and performing test flight plans.

Requirements

  • FAA Dispatcher’s certificate is required.
  • Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to convert between different units of measure.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Reviews revision content of applicable documentation and data and develops and distributes a summary of changes that may affect operational conditions and procedures of stakeholders.
  • Initiates and coordinates the airport suitability process.
  • Works in conjunctions with the Flight Following Manager (and others) to create and maintain routes.
  • Coordinates approved and contingency routes with International Flight Clearance
  • Reviews performance limitations caused by deferred maintenance items for downline impacts.
  • Performs test flight plans for sales.
  • Performs route analysis for aircraft scheduling and/or strategic planning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
