About The Position

StretchLab Minnesota is seeking athletic trainers, personal trainers, massage therapists, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, those with Kinesiology/Exercise Science related degrees, and dance/yoga/Pilates Instructors to join their team. This role is ideal for recent graduates seeking a gap year or more before graduate school, with opportunities for part-time work while attending school, or full-time work with promotion prospects and benefits. StretchLab is the industry leader in one-on-one assisted stretch therapy. Flexologists provide one-on-one assisted stretches to clients, focusing on improving flexibility, mobility, and overall physical well-being through specialized stretching techniques. The role involves creating personalized stretching routines, understanding human anatomy and movement mechanics, and utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide clients safely and comfortably.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or related field.
  • Certification in stretching techniques or relevant disciplines (e.g., yoga, Pilates, personal training).
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and customize stretching routines to accommodate individuals of varying ages, fitness levels, and physical conditions.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on latest research and trends in stretching and mobility training.
  • Must be available to go through our Flexologist Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online tutorials, 2 days of in-person/hands-on training and 20 hours of practice.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in personal training, physical therapy, or a related field preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification.

  • Experience working in a fitness/health environment where you providing hands-on training with client.

  • Must be available to go through our 2 day Flexologist Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online tutorials and 2 days of in-person/hands-on training (you will be compensated for this time).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments via overhead squat to understand client limitations and needs.
  • Develop individualized stretching programs tailored to client needs, preferences, and limitations.
  • Use static, passive, and PNF stretching to help achieve client goals.
  • Offer education and guidance on the importance of assisted stretching, flexibility training, and proper body mechanics.
  • Properly document stretch sessions and client progress.
  • Maintain strong professionalism and rapport with clients, listen to their feedback, address questions or concerns, and promote a positive experience at all times.
