About The Position

First Quality is seeking a Press Operator for their First Quality Print & Packaging facility in Anderson, SC. This role operates under the direction of the Production Manager and is responsible for operating, maintaining, setting up, and changing over machines/equipment according to standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in manufacturing
• Ability to maintain records and logs
• Ability to climb ladders and work from high ground
• Ability to operate a PC
• Ability to use hand tools proficiently
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts
• Ability to work in a Tobacco Free Facility and on a Tobacco Free Campus

Nice To Haves

• Flexographic Printing experience preferred
• Full color vision is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes all safety rules and always uses the proper safety equipment.
• Keeps a record of the operation of the machine and troubleshooting that was done.
• Maintains quality standards for the product.
• Ensures the proper materials are in place in a timely and orderly fashion.
• Keeps the machine and surrounding area clean; completes daily housekeeping assignments.
• Assist maintenance personnel as required.
• Assists with the training of other employees as needed.
• Must be able to solve problems and root cause analysis.
• Must be flexible in work hours, dependable and committed to First Quality and producing a quality product.
• Expectation of a challenging and learning experience and willingness to be taught.
• Follow all GMP, OSHA, SQF and company policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as required or directed, with or without accommodation.
• Conducts job in a manner which complies to the food safety program (SQF).
• Reports food safety problems immediately to supervisor or a QA team member. Takes actions where appropriate.
