About The Position

The Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot press issues to ensure efficient production and consistent print quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
• Proven experience operating flexographic presses or similar printing equipment
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of printing materials, inks, and plate mounting
• Ability to read and interpret job orders and technical specifications
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Basic math and measurement skills

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate flexographic printing presses according to job specifications
• Mount printing plates, adjust ink systems, and ensure proper registration and color accuracy
• Monitor press performance and make adjustments to maintain print quality and production efficiency
• Inspect printed materials for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical or printing issues and minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate production records and job documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Coordinate with production team members to meet deadlines and production goals
