About The Position

This role involves performing press operator duties while adhering to all safety and company policies. The primary goal is to complete tasks efficiently and to the best of one's ability, meeting or exceeding management expectations. The position requires a focus on quality, teamwork, and minimizing waste, while complying with all standard operating procedures, including those related to employee health, safety, and food packaging quality.

  • High school diploma /GED or equivalent
  • Able to lift to 100 lbs with assistance of hoist; 70 lbs without (intermittently)
  • Standing- up to 10 hrs on concrete floors (consistently)
  • Bending and twisting, up to 70% of time
  • Working 10 hr. shifts. (consistently)
  • Working from two story heights. (intermittently)
  • Using step stools or ladders. (occasional)
  • Adjusting shift hours for vacation coverage or machine demands. (intermittently)
  • Color vision acuity (consistently)
  • Work around solvent/ink/glue fumes/other solvents used in printing manufacturing. (consistently)
  • Work in tight places (occasional)
  • Must wear the necessary PPE for all phases of the job including safety glasses, hearing protection, hairnet, beard net (if applicable), cut-resistant gloves, solvent gloves, and any other PPE identified, and follow all safety regulations and rules at all times.
  • Ability to be on your feet up to 80% of your designated shift.

  • Meet daily goals within a close margin of other operators and crews.
  • Minimize waste percentage.
  • Comply with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s.
  • Supervise the Press Utility and Assistant to ensure duties are performed and completed.
