About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Press / Print Operating Technician II to join their team. In this role, the selected candidate will set up and operate printing equipment while ensuring jobs meet production, quality, and safety standards. The position requires the ability to follow detailed job orders, identify and correct potential errors, set up and adjust press equipment, monitor product quality and equipment during production, start and run jobs according to the production schedule, perform routine equipment maintenance, meet established standards for production output, waste, and spoilage, follow all safety guidelines, maintain a clean work area, and complete production logs. The role also involves operating complex multi-color and multi-process inline equipment and high-speed multi-color digital presses with finishing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Mechanical and technical skills or aptitude
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
  • Ability to operate equipment to meet established production and quality standards
  • Ability to understand verbal and written work instructions
  • Ability to communicate professionally
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed job orders and identify and correct potential errors or problems
  • Set up and adjust press equipment to meet job specifications
  • Monitor product quality throughout production and make adjustments as needed
  • Monitor equipment during production and report mechanical issues to maintenance
  • Start and run jobs according to the production schedule
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep

  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Complete production logs and related paperwork accurately
  • Operate equipment that may include complex multi-color and multi-process inline equipment and high-speed multi-color digital presses with finishing capabilities
