About The Position

C-P Flexible Packaging is hiring Flexo Press Operators to operate flexographic presses. Operators tear down and set up jobs, follow machine setup procedures, and complete work within time limits to meet press goals and production schedules. They adapt to changing conditions, ensure materials meet customer requirements and job specifications, work collaboratively with other operators and crews, and help minimize waste. The role also requires following procedures related to employee health and safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to help prevent contamination in packaging.

Requirements

• Mechanical skills.
• Press experience.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Ability to read and understand a tape measure.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with a hoist and up to 70 pounds without assistance, intermittently.
• Ability to bend and twist and work from two-story heights, intermittently.
• Ability to use step stools or ladders, occasionally.
• Ability to adjust shift hours for vacation coverage or machine demands, intermittently.

Responsibilities

• Lead job teardown and setup.
• Follow setup procedures for the assigned machine.
• Complete tasks within time limits to meet daily press goals and production schedules.
• Adapt to changing workplace conditions and job requirements.
• Ensure produced materials meet customer needs and the specifications on orders or job classifications.
• Work effectively in a team environment and contribute to shared machine and crew goals.
• Help minimize waste.
• Follow procedures relating to employee health and safety, SQF, and GMP.
