About The Position

Moore Digital Print and Mail Center-Tulsa is looking for a Flexo Press Operator. The Flexo Printing Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand job tickets, layout sheet, artwork and other specifications.
Previous printing/press experience.
Possess the ability to operate basic hand tools.
Ability to use a ruler or tape measure to measure in Imperial and metric increments.
Specific vision abilities required by the Press Operator job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to operate push buttons and move plate sleeves.
Ability to stand for 12 hours a day.
Familiarity with various types of printing presses and related equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Good trouble shooting skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent skills in working in a team environment.
Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
1-3 years of experience in production environment desired

Responsibilities

Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
Report all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
Complete make-ready in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and rollers are used.
Complete all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks.
Monitor and respond to error, alert or fault messages.
Operate press to produce product in accordance to customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
Maintain consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks includes: copy, color, and registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
Complete all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined.
Complete press make ready's in an efficient manner.
Complete all required equipment maintenance duties.
Clean plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricate press as needed.
Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements.
Work Overtime when needed.
Maintain good attendance.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
