This role involves accumulating dividers and cartons, ensuring correct packing placement and organization by matching markings on cards. The Flexo Packer takes direction from a Flexo Packer II for product and line assignments, as well as packing pace. Key responsibilities include closely checking cards for correct collating marks, comparing products to samples for conformance to standards, and demonstrating teamwork and motivation. The position requires the ability to show consistent improvement in speed, keep up with the production line, and express interest in advancing to a Flexo Packer II role. The individual must recognize and correct errors, use required safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection, and switch out and clean colors as needed for each job. Familiarization with the items being packed, organizing packing materials, and cleaning units in the room are also essential. Daily end-of-shift duties as assigned by Flexo Packer II and Flexo Operator positions must be completed. The role may also include assisting Flexo Press team members with machine greasing, trash removal, and stocking skids. Understanding all packing line metrics and goals, as well as line stop procedures, is required. Other duties may be assigned.
