About The Position

This role involves assisting machine crew members in setting up and running orders on a flexo gluer printer. The helper will follow all safety rules, learn customer requirements, coordinate with the crew, maintain quality and production standards, perform set-up functions, monitor production, prepare for set-ups by gathering supplies, perform clean-up duties, conduct minor cutting die repairs, perform quality inspections, and learn press operator duties. The position requires adherence to prescribed practices and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler
Ability to use basic shop math
Ability to learn and follow instructions, ask questions and work effectively as a member of a team
Ability to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

Follow all safety rules and practices
Learn customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards and design specifications
Coordinate activities with other machine crew members to efficiently set up and run orders
Maintain quality and production standards as required by the company
Perform set up functions as directed by the operator
Continually monitor the quality and quantity of production
Use available time to prepare for set ups and runs by obtaining protection sheets, obtaining and aiding tooling, in, and other supplies and tearing apart pallet cards
Perform assigned clean up functions
Perform minor cutting die repairs
Perform quality inspections and tests and recording findings
Learn press operator duties and responsibilities
Follow prescribed practices in all circumstances
Perform other duties as assigned
