The Mechanic will perform electrical/mechanical corrective and preventative maintenance on liquid filling (bottle filling) equipment, manufacturing equipment, and systems. This includes work on wiring, power distribution, servo and stepper controls, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). The role involves working with the Production Manager and other Mechanics to maximize the efficiency of production lines, performing set ups, breakdowns, repairs, preventive maintenance, and improvements on machines. The Mechanic will also ensure that instructions in Work Orders are followed, sign off on job start-ups, document repairs, review production paperwork, and ensure proper components are supplied and staged. They will troubleshoot machine malfunctions, communicate with supervisors and colleagues, create legible written records, verify product accuracy, and adhere to OSHA and FDA regulations. Maintaining a clean work environment is also a key responsibility.
