About The Position

Security Services Northwest, Inc. (SSNW) is seeking a Flex Unarmed Officer for the Tanana Valley State Fair in Fairbanks, AK, running from July 31 to August 9, 2026. Requirements

Current Alaska State Unarmed Security Guard License
Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting
Availability to work day shifts, swing shifts, graveyard shifts and weekends
Reliable transportation
Honesty and Integrity
Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations
High School Diploma or Equivalent
2+ years as an unarmed security officer
Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment

Responsibilities

Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
Conduct regular patrols
Monitor activities
Surveillance
Access Control
Safety escorts
Using provided communication devices
Represent SSNW’s brand
Properly wear the issued uniform
Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services
Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures
Other duties as described in the Post Orders
