About The Position

As a Flex Security Officer with Securitas, you’ll support multiple client sites in the Danbury, Wilton, and Litchfield County areas. You’ll cover different locations and shifts as needed, helping protect people, property, and information. This role is a good fit if you’re dependable, professional, and comfortable with a changing work environment. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 18 years of age or older (21+ may be required for some sites).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required Connecticut security guard license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to write clear reports and follow instructions.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform patrols, including stairs and outdoor areas.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is helpful but not required.
• Experience in a flexible or multi-site role is a plus.
• If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role; if not, we will provide you with the training and everything you need for a great introduction to a career in the security industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, professional security presence at assigned client sites.
• Patrol premises to deter and detect suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
• Control access: check IDs/badges, manage visitor logs, and ensure only authorized persons enter.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies according to post orders and Securitas procedures.
• Write clear, accurate incident and daily activity reports.
• Follow all client instructions and Securitas policies, including safety and emergency procedures.
• Use and care for any assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and report issues to your manager.
• Deliver excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.
• Communicate with supervisors and participate in required training.
• Work at multiple sites within Danbury, Wilton, and Litchfield County.
• Be available for a mix of shifts (days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays).
• Adapt quickly to different environments, post orders, and client expectations.
• Stay in regular contact with scheduling and branch management about availability and assignments.

• Hourly pay of $20.00 – $23.00, depending on experience, site, and shift.
