About The Position
FAR Inspections is seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in Manassas Park City County, Virginia, and surrounding communities. This role offers the opportunity to earn supplemental or full-time income on a flexible schedule. As a Field Inspector, you will perform brief, exterior residential occupancy verifications, confirming property status and reporting on general conditions. The role emphasizes autonomy, allowing you to manage your own routing, schedule, and territory, with standard inspections typically requiring only 5-6 minutes on-site. You will enjoy stable, month-to-month volume in your assigned county. This role requires spending extended periods driving and making numerous stops throughout the day in a dense metro area, making familiarity with city driving, parking, and navigating multi-unit properties helpful.
Requirements
- Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running mobile reporting apps.
- Computer with an internet connection and a printer.
- Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
