About The Position

BCI is seeking candidates for a chemical blending position in an industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Candidates must be self-motivated while able to work independently and in a team environment. The Flex Operator will have manufacturing and warehouse duties, along with duties in one or more specialty fields. Daily activity will be directed by a manager, supervisor, or team lead and will include hands-on, information, and other activities as needed. The ability to increase contribution by mastering skills and learning new information is critical to growth at BCI.

Requirements

  • Able to read, understand, follow, & write technical information on batch tickets & other records.
  • Forklift certification & experience safely operating a forklift in a chemical manufacturing facility preferred with the ability to become forklift certified required.
  • Familiar with chemical manufacturing safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) preferred with the ability to learn and safely use PPE required.
  • Certified to wear a respirator preferred with the ability to become certified & willing to wear as needed (typically infrequent) required.
  • Able to safely & consistently lift & move 50+ lbs.
  • Able to work overtime (typically < 2 hours/day) as needed.
  • Authorized to work in USA and pass background check.
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement)

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, shipping, and/or inventory management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow batch ticket instructions: understand material/equipment needs.
  • Organize and kit raw materials.
  • Accurately measure, weight, dispense, & blend wet and dry chemicals into a mixture.
  • Understand & use appropriate PPE; perform tasks in a safe, neat, & orderly manner.
  • Locate & transport material to/from warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, manually, and/or with other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Ensure organization & cleanliness of warehouse and production areas.
  • Unload/load trailers considering product classification & weight distribution.
  • Work independently to log, scan, and track inventory by product and location.
