About The Position
Universal Technical Institute is seeking experienced auto technicians to become Part-Time Auto Instructors. This role is ideal for individuals looking to supplement their income or seeking a flexible schedule. No prior teaching experience is necessary, as training will be provided. The instructor will play a pivotal role in shaping students' minds and skills, guiding them with expertise in engines, diagnostics, and repair through hands-on, interactive teaching. The goal is to inspire the next generation to conquer the challenges of modern auto and diesel technology.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of practical work experience in the field
- ASEs are highly valued, G1 AND A6
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective connection with students and fellow staff
- A patient and empathetic approach to teaching, understanding that every student learns at their own pace
Responsibilities
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can flourish, fostering their passion for the auto or diesel industry while imparting expert knowledge.
- Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations, ensuring students gain real-world experience in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
- Collaborate with the education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones that align with industry trends and advancements.
- Guide and mentor students on their individual projects, encouraging them to think critically and find innovative solutions.
- Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for students.
