About The Position

Holman Powertrain has a great opportunity for a Flex Warehouse/Driver to join our team in Syracuse New York! The role involves pulling part purchases from stock and delivering to drivers, stocking incoming parts and return parts, maintaining inventories, bar coding incoming parts and equipment, receiving packing slips and verifying quantities, gathering and packaging items for shipment, and unloading delivery trucks. The position also includes loading, securing, and delivering automobile parts to customers, driving to customer locations, and performing daily DOT safety checks on vehicles. The company emphasizes safety policies and procedures, immediate reporting of accidents, and the ability to lift heavy boxes and operate a forklift and pallet jack. The role requires driving vehicles between 7000-33000 GVW and scanning/logging returned goods and tracking deliveries.

Requirements

Prior warehouse experience
Prior truck driving experience
Forklift/Pallet Jack experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills- able to communicate problems/delays with pick-ups/deliveries/inventory to internal stakeholder
Experience in logistics, supply chain, freight, and commercial truck driving and/or warehouse operations
Basic computers skills.
Good attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills
Positive energy while working in a team setting
Technical knowledge.
Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs without assistance.
Must be able to drive vehicles 7000-33000 GVW.

Experience with wireless inventory system is desired.

Responsibilities

Pull part purchases from stock and deliver to drivers.
Stock incoming parts and return parts.
Maintain inventories of all inventoried items (controlled and/or non-controlled).
Bar coding on all incoming parts and equipment.
Receive packing slips and verify quantities for parts against purchase orders.
Gather and properly package inventory and purchased items needing shipment.
Unload delivery trucks.
Load, secure, and deliver automobile parts (engines, transmissions, small parts, etc.) to customers.
Drive to customer locations and off load and reload truck.
Loading is performed with a pallet jack or forklift.
Use Scanner/print pad to Scan/log returned goods; track delivery of goods and returns.
Check-in finished goods before loading vehicle.
Perform daily DOT safety check/inspection on vehicle and report deficiencies to manager.
Other duties as assigned.
