About The Position

The Fleet Training Support Intern will participate in a Department of Defense SkillBridge internship supporting Ataero in collaboration with the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) and the Marine Corps Spectrum Integration Laboratory (MCSIL) for the Intrepid Tiger II (IT II) program of record. Under the mentorship of experienced Ataero professionals, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to fleet training support, electromagnetic spectrum operations, and DoD program execution. The intern will assist in aligning training activities with fleet operational requirements and support the planning, development, and delivery of training solutions to DoD end users and repair facilities. This internship is designed to provide real-world experience that supports a smooth transition from military service to the civilian workforce.

Requirements

  • Active-duty service member approved for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program
  • Background or experience in Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (e.g., Radio Battalion, EA-6B/EA-18G, ECMO, ECM Technician, EW support roles)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting fleet training, technical systems, or operational units
  • Prior instructor, trainer, or mentorship experience (military or civilian)
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) clearance
  • Exposure to highly technical systems or fleet support program environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the delivery and coordination of fleet training instruction to support operational needs
  • Support IT II training and operational activities during select training events and large-force exercises
  • Help ensure training support is delivered in a consistent, predictable, and professional manner
  • Contribute to training development efforts related to personnel, resources, and operational functions
  • Assist with routine system maintenance support and documentation of upgrades or changes
  • Support coordination of training methods, instructional materials, and media with fleet stakeholders
  • Participate in professional engagement with government and operational personnel
  • Support quality control efforts and customer service objectives to ensure successful project execution
